The phrase “Give me liberty, or give me death!” is a famous quote attributed to Patrick Henry, an American orator and Founding Father. He delivered this line in a speech to the Second Virginia Convention on March 23, 1775, urging the colonies to prepare for war against British rule. It encapsulates the idea that freedom is so essential, that one would rather die than live without it. The phrase has become a powerful symbol of the American Revolution and the fight for liberty.
